How To Manage Reddit Subscriptions In 12 Quick & Easy Steps?
Adding and Dropping Subscriptions
Step 1:-
Open up Reddit. Make an account if you don’t already have one. They are easy to set up and cost nothing. You can’t change subscriptions if you don’t have an account.
Step 2:-
In the upper right corner, click “Edit >>.” It should go right above “Preferences. On this page, you can see a list of all the subreddits and search, add, or remove them.
Step 3:-
Use the top bar to look for what you’re interested in. If you know the name of a subreddit that you want to join, type it into the “Search subreddits by name” bar. If you’re new to the site and don’t know what you want, use the search bar at the top to look for things like “movies,” “news,” “environment,” etc.
- There is a subreddit for just about anything you can think of. Still, you can always make a new one if you can’t find what you want.
- The URL for every subreddit looks like this: www.reddit.com/r/NAME OF SUBREDDIT.
Step 4:-
Click the green “Subscribe” button to sign up for a new subscription. This adds it to your list of interests. It should also be on the bar at the top.
Step 5:-
To delete subscriptions, click on “My subreddits” near the top of the page. The button is a tab near “Popular” and “New” at the top of the page. This will show you a list of all the subreddits you follow.
Step 6:-
Click the red “Unsubscribe” button to stop getting emails from the board. You can always put it back in the future. The subreddit will still be in any multireddits you have it in, though.
Managing Diverse Subscriptions
Step 7:-
Use “multis” to make playlists of subreddits that fit your needs. If you spend a lot of time on Reddit, you might want to make your subreddits easier to manage. Let’s say you love movies and sign up for five or six different film boards.
But you also want to know what’s going on in the world, and your front page is a mess of movie reviews, news stories, and opinions. With a “multi,” you can put all of your news and movie subscriptions on separate pages, which makes them easier to manage.
Step 8:-
Click “Create multi” on the left side of the main page. To go back to the main page, click the word “Reddit” in the upper left corner. The word “Multireddit” should be near the middle of a bar on the left. The word “Create” is written under that. To make your first multireddit, click here.
If this bar doesn’t show up right away, click the small triangles on the screen’s far left edge.
Step 9:-
Call the multireddit something. When you hit “Enter,” you go to a page where you can type in as many subreddits as you want. Put in as many as you can think of right now. You can always add more later. When you type in your interests and hit enter, they will be added. Reddit will also have suggestions like these.
Step 10:-
To see more subreddits, click “Edit” in the upper right corner. This takes you to the page for your subreddit. You can add as many subreddits as you want or sign up for as many as you want. Look for boards that are like the ones you’re interested in at the top. This is a good time to figure out what your interests are. For example, if you want a film multi, you might search “movies” and find /r/movies, /r/screenwriting, /r/Netflixbestof, etc., that you didn’t know existed.
Step 11:-
To go straight to a subreddit, click on the blue link, not the subscribe button. This takes you to the subreddit itself. From here, you can not only subscribe, but you can also add the subreddit to your multis right away.
Step 12:-
Move your mouse over the green “subscribe” button on the subreddit. You’ll see a pop-up window with a list of all the multis you’ve made. This makes it easy to add new subreddits to a multi.
