Missoula officials find 2 children dead in home near Reserve Street

Two toddlers were discovered dead in their beds at home on the west side of Missoula on Friday morning.

According to a press release from the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, officers were sent to a residence in the 1000 block of Patty Anne Drive, between Reserve Street and Seventh Street, at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday for complaints of suspicious behavior.

According to the information supplied to dispatch, the folks dwelling in residence had suffered life-threatening injuries that required medical attention.

According to the press statement, deputies captured a female suspect, who is presently in jail, and secured the area for emergency medical services to arrive. Two little children were discovered unconscious and were subsequently declared dead by emergency medical personnel at the site.

The investigation is still ongoing, and deputies and detectives are working tirelessly to obtain information about what happened that night.

“Our sincere sympathies go out to the family members, friends, and first responders who this tragedy has impacted,” the statement said. According to Missoula County Sheriff T.J. McDermott, “We recognize the effect and questions that this tragedy will have on individuals who live and work in our communities.”
