Montana Food Bank Network cancels annual fundraising event

MISSOULA, MONTANA – The Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) has canceled preparations for its famous fundraiser known as “The Taste,” which was staged over a year ago.

However, organizers are hoping for continuous funding in 2022.

The Taste has grown in popularity as a fun way to spend an evening out while providing essential financial assistance to MFBN and its partners.

However, the COVID-19 outbreak disrupted those plans last year, and the agency collaborated with MTN to bring The Taste online.

Food preparation parts, an auction, and “passports” to nearby eateries to use later were all part of the invention. The event raised more than $75,000 in total.

However, after reviewing the current epidemic a few weeks ago, MFBN officials decided not to hold another event this year.

Instead, the organization is reaching out to previous supporters directly to continue essential funding.
