Name of Missoula stabbing victim released

MISSOULA – The identity of the woman who was discovered stabbed to death in Missoula late last month has been published by authorities.

Angela M. Kohl, 39, of Missoula, has been identified as the victim, according to Missoula County Sheriff and Coroner TJ McDermott.

In the 1200 block of South First Street West, Kohl was dead on January 24. He was a resident of the house.

According to court documents, Jacques David Bernard, the man accused in connection with the assault, appeared in court on Tuesday and entered a not guilty plea to a charge of felony premeditated murder.

According to a press release, the Missoula Police Department is continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the event.
