Woman dies after being hit by vehicle in Missoula

MISSOULA — Police in Missoula responded to a complaint of a car hitting a person at South Avenue and 26th Street early Saturday morning. No one was injured.

As deputies arrived soon after midnight, other parties administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a lady in her sixties.

Despite their attempts, the lady succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Sgt. Ben Slater of the Missoula Police Department said that the driver had been identified and cooperated with the investigation.

Saturday morning, the woman’s name has not yet been revealed to the public.

Police are requesting that anybody who saw the incident or who noticed the area shortly before the collision contact Detective Griesse at 406-552-6282 as soon as possible.
